Historical Documents of the Christian Church
As one studies our lives today, it is necessary to know our background and history to understand what has brought us to the point we are at today.

There are a number of essential basic documents for the Christian faith; some are collected here in attempt to place all of these at the reader's fingertips while working with the other resources available.

  • Theology and Practice of the Church  ( 2 items )
An answer to "what is theology?" might require an entire book, or at least an entire article.  For the purposes of this section of M Squared T, this section is designed to be a collection of documents written or collected by M Squared T on the theology (beliefs, orthodoxy) and practice (actions, orthopraxy) of the church.

  • Curriculum for Christlikeness  ( 1 items )
What does it mean to really follow Jesus Christ?  How do we actually do that?  What does "spiritual formation" have to do with it?

Dr. Dallas Willard, in The Divine Conspiracy (San Francisco: HarperSanFrancisco, 1999), and in the follow-up book, The Renovation of the Heart, suggests that we develop a "Curriculum for Christlikeness" to put off the old self and put on Christ in an intentional way that maximizes the power of God in our lives toward that end.  The documents in this section are attempts at developing such a curriculum.

  • Translation Project  ( 4 items )
From the earliest days of the church, the Good News of Jesus Christ has been proclaimed in many languages.  Our theological forbearers knew that neither Greek nor Hebrew were languages holier than all the rest but that the Good News was to be proclaimed to all people in their native language.

While there are, admittedly, many, many translations of the Bible in English - rivalling all the other foreign languages combined - sometimes a fresh translation can bring life to a text that has grown stale with familiarity.

Therefore, M Squared T hopes to host translation discussions about translations of phrases, verses, chapters and books of scripture, in order to bring greater depth of understanding to the canon of the Word of God.
